Uncle Mark called round to take Harry out for a spin in the pram. Nice night out.

3 Week birthday

Mum took me to get weighed yesterday. 10 pounds 14. All the feeding is paying off. So 3 weeks old yesterday. Still Harry is very relaxed about it all.

Oh oh

Daddy, I have a question for u, can this Moses basket extend?? I know I'm only 3 weeks old but I can almost reach the top already! x

I love nappy time

Some time to kick back and relax with Dad. Get a full change and then he put the lion top on. He's a cool cat my Dad.

Full or not

Just chilling out after a nice feed. This is just a bluff. Ill be awake again and wanting more in 5 mins.

Sick house

Mum and Dad both have the cold but will hopefully be back for the weekend. Weather should be good then so might get a walk in the park.

More visits.

Had a short trip to the McGimpsey grandparents house.

First good nites sleep

I have been such a great boy! My daddy gave me my bottle at 11pm last nite and then I slept all the way thru until 5am!! Mummy had a big smile on her face cause she finally got a good rest! x

A visit to see the family

Auntie Lisa and Uncle Ricky have been looking after me very well. Had a nice feed and enjoyed meeting everyone.

Lung test - Check

Harry has started to test his lung capacity. He can yell pretty good when he wants to. Still when the problem is found he returns to the happy wee man again. Pic shows one of the problem fixes. Lots of visits today from friends and family and he was good as gold. Nobody else has witnessed the full yell test yet.

Bath time. Again.

Daddy please don't leave me on my own with mummy. She's crazy. She had just bathed me again! xx

Dads last day off

After keeping mum and dad up all night Harry had another visit from the midwife today. Weighing in at 9 pounds 12 Harry is feeding well. No formula yet so he is doing very well. Here he is trying to rest.

I have found my nose

After a feed and a lie down Harry found his nose.

Starting work early

Today Harry took a trip to Asidua (His dads work) He met the team and all the staff. Stayed calm and relaxed. Louise was very good with him. Will Harry be an IT professional, just one of many options in front of him :-)

Time to grow up

Well after keeping his mummy up all night feeding at least Harry had a reason. Harry weighted in at 9 pounds 9. So in less than 2 weeks he has overtaken his baby weight. See here with his happy mummy.

Shopping in Bangor

Out cruising the streets of Bangor today. Nice day to take the wheels out for a spin. Think Harry was enjoying it.

Twelfth of July

No bands for Harry this year. Nice day though. The double feeds continue. Harry slept for long parts of the day but has been active since 8:30pm. After feeds and nappy changes he might just be going to sleep now 1am. So 3 hours from now and he will be wanting more. Harry gets weighed tomorrow so hopefully he will have gained some and Kellys hard work will have paid off.

Double dose.

After a visit from the midwife, Harry has not gained as much weight as we would like. So we have bought an electric breast pump so Kelly can fill a bottle as well. Now when Harry stops feeding naturally we can use the bottle to add to this. So today Harry had his first bottle. Well done and hope to see the weight come on now. Also Harry has out grown one of his baby grows already.

Great things are worth waiting for

Harry was due on Thursday 21st June but he didn't arrive. We waited another week and still nothing. We went to the Ulster Hospital on Monday 2nd July to help move things along. Kelly took 2 pessaries and still nothing. On Tuesday after an exam in the morning the doctors said to wait and see. Then at 7:30pm on Tuesday Kelly was taken to the delivery ward to have her waters broken and labour induced. Tense machine from 8:30 to 11 then gas and air till 12:30. Then remifentanil was added as well until 5 when it was time to push. So no drugs and only a little gas and air until Harry was pushed out at 6:45. I cut the cord and it took 2 goes. So this time last week we were going through it and today Harry is a week old.

Quick trip outside

We all went for a quick trip to Pickie today. Harry wasn't too hungry so we went.

Welcome Harry

I would like to announce the birth of Harry Dawson McGimpsey.

Harry was born on at 6:45am on Wednesday the 4th July.  He was 9 pounds 7 at birth.
Mother Kelly and Father David are both very happy and excited.  Will try and add to this as new events happen in his life.
