Evening walk to Pickie

After Dad finished work and with a bright evening, Mum, Dad and Harry went to pickie park so Harry could have some fun on the swings and slide.  With summer starting the whole family are looking forward to more of this.

Things are changing

Mum and Dad have noticed a lot of changes with Harry over the last few weeks.  Some are great and some are not so good.

Good:-
Harry is a smart kid and can now point at the frog, bird cat and mouse in his millie the mouse book.

When it's sunny outside he enjoys having lunch outdoors.

When it's time to relax he can have a snooze on his bouncer although he isn't the small baby that used to sleep on it.

He has mastered the art of crawling and has now moved up a level to crawling while on his hands and knees.  Seen here in his favourite Newcastle kit.

He is also a whiz in his walker and can navigate all round the house with ease.  This has lead Dad to buy magnetic locks for the drawers and cupboards around the house and a stair gate is probable coming soon.  High fives are wee buns now and he will wave and point at the family.  Overall tremendous development.  Mum and Dad are very proud.

Not so good:-
Mum and Dad didn't really see the point where Harry became more attached to them but now the night-time routine of falling asleep in Mum or Dads arms and then being transferred to the cot has become a bit of a problem.  It's not often that Harry would sleep through the night and generally he will wake multiple times and will only go back to sleep in the arms  He wakes instantly when moved back to the cot, much to the frustration of Mum and Dad in the early hours :-(  So a new routine is has started to reverse the pattern and help Harry, Mum and Dad all enjoy a good nights sleep.  Bedtime is now 8pm.

Overall it is so great to see how content Harry is and how relaxed he is in the company of his grand parents.  Looking forward to the next firsts and being with him, enjoying new experiences.

Dad Completes Marathon

On Monday the 6th May Dad completed the 3rd leg of the Belfast City Marathon as part of a relay team entered by his company. He completed the 7.1 mile leg in 60 minutes, which he was very happy with.

I'm sure Harry will be wanting to copy his Dad when he grows up.
