Rob comes to visit

On the 14th September 2013 Dads good friend Robert returned from London to visit.  Dad had a day out planned with Rob and Harry and then Nana Thompson took over too look after Harry while Dad and Rob went out in Bangor.

It all started with a trip to Donaghadee

Here is Rob and Harry

Dad likes getting his picture taken.

Harry had some fun times in the playground.

Not sure if Harry likes slides yet but Dad still lets him try.

Here is Harry on the ship and he loves steering the ship.

After a cheesy chip from the Captains Table we took a trip up the Donaghadee Castle.

As the sun was still shining we drove on to Newtownards and up to Scrabo tower.  Pushing Harry up to the top was hard work but the view was great when we got there.

Harry decided to take a walk round on his own.

Time for a break and some crisps and drink.

Rob tries to get a good picture.

Back at the house and Dad got the champagne out and used his engagement champagne flutes

Rob and Dad were looking forward to a good night out.

Dad and Rob started the night in the Salty Dog for some great food and cocktails.

Thanks for visiting Rob, looking forward to your next trip over.

Harrys Baptism

Harry Dawson McGimpsey was baptised on Sunday 1st September 2013 at the Movilla Abbey Church of Ireland.

It was a lovely family service and lots of Mum and Dads family and friends came along to share in Harrys big day.  Harry now has one god mother Debbie and 2 God fathers Richard and Mark.

When his big moment came Harry was well behaved and when he was on stage in front of the congregation and the reverend asked 'Where's your cheeky face'  Harry was happy to oblige and at the end stuck his tongue out for good measure.  Everyone laughed and found Harry a funny boy with a great sense of humour.  Mum and Dad were very pleased and the day went very well.

After the service we took some time to take pictures to remember the day.  Outside the church stands a cross that was crafted by Mums Granddad so we thought this was a good place to remember the moment.

After the service we all went back to the Stranford Arms Hotel who put on a great finger buffett with tea and coffee.  Mum had also bought a great cake for the day and made some of her special cupcakes. Both of which Dad enjoyed.

The family all got together for Sunday lunch at the Stables in Groomsport. We all had a great meal and after Granddad was surprised by a nice cake. After lunch Harry had some fun time in the local playground. A nice say out.
