A great weekend.

The weekend of the 24th and 25th August was great.  On Saturday Dad took a break from football as Harry was still a little unwell from his recent injections.  So Dad and Harry picked up Granddad and Oma McGimpsey and went down to Donaghadee as there was a fun day in the town.  There was a Bird man competition (People attempt to jump off the pier and one who gets the furthest out wins).  The winner gets £1000 so Dad thinks maybe he should try it next year.  Unfortunately we were a bit late getting there and missed it but we had time for ice-cream from the cabin and then enjoyed some fun in the playground before watching the Punch and Judy show.  Harry enjoyed that.  After that we were surprised by a small air display.  Lovely summer day out.

The end of a great Saturday was followed by a trip to Ward Park on Sunday with Mum and Dad to enjoy the music from a String Quartet and we had a small picnic.

Lots of people out enjoying the music

Mums got the camera and Dad is spotted helping Harry get started.

Dad is impressed and Harry is enjoying the freedom.

Quick sniff, nope that's not for eating.

Nice day out in Ward Park and time to go home.

A great summer weekend the whole family had fun.

Dads company BBQ

Dad had a company BBQ at the Lock Keepers Inn in Belfast.  Uncle Mark and Aunt Julie came along too.  There was face painting and archery and a duck race.  Dad had the music ready and the food was great.

Uncle Mark get his face painted, a great job done by Dads friends at Funky Faces.

A trip to Wark Park

Mum and Dad took Harry to see the birds at ward park and to have some play time in the playground.
Dad learnt a new lesson, don't take you eye off Harry when he is on the swing.  Harry can climb out quite easily now.  Still a fun evening out.
